Daniel has shown a very mature approach to his learning and his play this term. He concentrates more and is thinking more about how to improve his own learning and then putting it into practice. |

Alfie has shown great maturity in recognising he needs plenty of water during the day and making sure he eats his lunch. We are pleased with Alfie’s growing maturity applying himself to open-ended and adult directed activities. |

He is a very hard working member of the class who can be relied upon to act sensibly and maturely. Although he likes to share in a joke with his friends, Henry is mature enough to know when this is appropriate. |

Josh has become a very mature young person in year 1 .He can always be trusted to do his very best at everything he tries to do. He works very hard ay his academic work but also at looking out for other children and he will speak up if he is concerned about anything so that it can be dealt with in a mature way . |

| Jade Cann |
Jade has focused on all of her learning this year. When she friends things tricky, she keeps focused and has really improved in her maths as a result of this. |

Lottie is making a big effort to focus on her work and do her best. She is concentrating much better during class time and is now working harder during independent tasks. |

Dan is very creative and really focuses on his model making. He puts a lot of thought into his designs. He is confident choosing resources he needs and reviews his work, adapting his models where necessary. |

| Kori Gray |
Kori has shown a caring attitude to his fellow pupils and to the adults who teach him. He has worked hard to avoid distractions and focus his attention on the speaker. showing that he respects their point of view and their ideas. Whenever somebody is in need of a supportive friend, Kori can be relied upon to look after them, without needing to be asked. |

Jessica is always respectful to other children, listening and working together with them during playtimes and groups work. Jessica shows respect to adults she meets in school and follows instructions well. |

Trinity is an extremely polite member of Year 6 and has outstanding manners. She is a very caring member of the class and often acts as mediator to resolve falling outs. She listens well in class and follows instructions with a smile on her face. |

Evie is a delightful person to have in the class. She is always so kind and caring to any one who is feeling a little bit upset or down .She shows them the greatest respect and kindness and it is just lovely to have such a respectful person in the class |

Katie shows excellent respect, especially to adults. She is mannerly, polite, helpful and fantastic at welcoming others with a friendly ‘hello’. Katie also respects herself. She asks for help when she needs it and really wants to do well and improve. |

Adam shows great respect in his attitude towards adults and other children. He has a strong sense of fairness and even when he is unhappy about something that has happened in a playtime game, he is able to sort things out with respect for other children’s views. |

PERSEVERANCE |
| Conor Webb |
Conor has found writing a challenge as he has so many ideas, he was getting frustrated when he could not get them all down onto paper. When introduced to the idea of a planning timer, Conor quickly found that this helped him get his ideas down so that he wouldn’t lose them and then he was able to concentrate on quality sentence writing. He now does his planning independently! |

Luke works so hard all the time. He reads with his parents every night. Luke perseveres to write the best sentences he can and is making great progress. |
| Millie Matthews |
Millie has made super progress this year, especially in her phonics, reading and writing. She is a Hayward’s hero for perseverance in her learning. She also demonstrates honesty within the setting, owning up to issues honestly without blaming others. |

Aston recently has worked so hard on activities he finds a challenge which has enabled him to interact with adults and other peers. |

I really couldn’t decide between Grace and Georgia for this perseverance award so I have had to be naughty and nominate both of them! In the run up to SATs, both girls were great examples of what it means to be focused. They had a positive attitude to their learning and were keen to keep improving themselves and do better. |

Talia has shown honesty when looking at her own learning. When she finds things tricky, she is honest and admits it to others, as she knows this is the way to get the help needed to support her learning. |

Maddison is our ‘Amy Hero’. She demonstrates honesty in our unit and can be relied upon to explain situations which may occur in the playground in a fair and truthful way. |

Danielle has had difficult challenges however she has acquired the skills to seek out an adult when she really needs their support and she can honestly say what happened. |

Livvy is being honest about how she feels, especially linked to how she deals with her friendships. She now wants to be able to be friends with more people, which is a really positive thing for Livvy. |

Charlie is a great role model, both in class and around school. Not only can she be relied upon to tell the truth, but she is also able to be honest when it comes to her learning. She is able to speak up when she is unsure of something and is not too proud to ask for extra support if needed. This honest attitude has enabled her to make great progress this year. |

Sam is very honest. He takes responsibility for his actions and can be trusted to tell the truth. Sam is becoming more honest with himself, especially during lessons, where he is starting to ask for help when he needs it. |
