Lyme Regis - The Home of Mary Anning

Between the recent storms, Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Lyme Regis, the home of Mary Anning. This was postponed back in November and we were so excited to take our learning into the wider world.

After exploring the museum and a talk from geologist Chris (who was very impressed with our knowledge and vocabulary), we went onto the beach to hunt for fossils. Luckily, being between storms means the erosion helped us to be more successful in finding fossils, especially ammonites.

Exhausted, we returned to the coach and returned with stories to share and our mission achieved.

We look forward to our next adventure!
