Whole School Events

There have been many events that all of the children have been involved in this year:

WORLD BOOK DAY

We had a brilliant World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. It was lovely to see so many children in costume and we had lots of fun throughout the day. It was lovely for the children to hear about the books available from Crediton Library and to engage in a range of book related tasks. Thanks to Miss Partridge for organising the day.

For the children in Years 3 to 6, Accelerated Reader has been a fantastic addition to the school and we are seeing a really positive impact. Could I ask that you encourage your child, in whatever year group, to read as often as possible(or listen to stories on a regular basis). It makes such a massive difference.

GROUND'S DAY

What an amazing day!! There was a lovely community feel around school on Sunday and I wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody who attended. It was brilliant to see families, staff, governors and friends joining in on the day. I am amazed with how much we managed to achieve. We are incredibly lucky to have such a hardworking, supportive and enthusiastic families at our school. Due to popular demand we will be running another one in the Autumn Term—it would be amazing if we could get a similar number of people at the next one. In additional to everyone who helped on the day, I would also like to thank organisations who supported the event financially:  Bernaville Nurseries— For contributing the trees and plants for the event.  Eakers DIY - For contributing the paint that we used for the Year 1 fence area.  Andrew Vaccari - For lending us the ‘Post-thumper-in-thing’ (for want of a better name). PTA -  For providing cakes and refreshments.  Mr Cavender (Oliver’s Bakery) - For providing cakes for the mid-morning break.  Mole Avon Country Stores, Crediton  - For contributing the wheelbarrow.
