Office Administration Assistant

Salary -  £18198  pro rata, Approx. £4500 per year.

Scale – B pt 2

Hours – 12.5 hours    (2 days, 1 to be a Friday – some flexibility will be possible for the 2nd day)

Required to work – as soon as possible (early/mid-December ideally)

We are seeking to employ a member of office staff to join our team to carry out office duties and to support the role of School Business Manager and Office Administrator.

Duties will include:

  • Reception duties – greeting parents and visitors and dealing with enquiries
  • Answering the telephone and responding to emails
  • Running errands – passing on important messages to staff etc
  • Dealing with external post
  • Requesting references
  • DBS checks
  • Helping to prepare and send out newsletters
  • Communicating via our Parentmail system to families when required
  • Preparing regular paperwork – photocopying/filing/archiving

Plus any other tasks or duties which support the role of office administrator and school business manager.

We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, be proactive and flexible, with excellent people skills.  You would need to be a good team player who can manage their own workload, be approachable and be sensitive to the confidential nature of working within the school setting.

There may be scope in the future to develop this role into other areas of the administration of the school.
