Teaching Assistant Early Years (Temporary)
Hours: 28.75 hours per week (8.45am – 12.00pm, 1.00pm – 3.30pm Monday to Friday)
Salary: NJC C grade 5, £12.18 per hour (£23,500 FTE)

Fixed term contract for this academic year due to additional workload demands within the unit.
We are seeking to employ a teaching assistant to support the learning and social emotional needs of pupils within our Early Years cohort for this year.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for:
- Developing pupils’ Social, Emotional and Mental Health Skills.
- Supporting the individual needs of identified pupils.
- Working with class teachers and other teaching assistants to provide effective support in the classroom.
- Working with parents/carers where required.
- Supporting the delivery of the curriculum and helping all children access it appropriately.
- Contributing to Education Health Care Plan meetings and review/writing of Relational Support Plans where appropriate.
- Contributing to My Plan meetings with SENDCo where appropriate.
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the class teachers, SENDCO and school leaders to lead and organise activities for pupils within the Foundation Stage unit. They will support their specific learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs at an appropriate level for all individuals to be able to access the curriculum and have a safe and enjoyable experience in school.
This will be a fixed term contract while the cohort remains in our Early Years unit.
