Celt and Roman day
Year 4 took a trip back in time to Ancient Britannia and dressed up as Celts. We turned our classroom into a Celtic roundhouse and had our lunch around the fire in Tanglewood.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from a Roman Centurion. He tried to persuade us to join the Roman army. Some of us thought it was a great idea but others were not so sure.
In the afternoon, we held a battle between the Celts and the Roman army. The Roman army were highly disciplined whereas the Celts had a more savage approach to war.
