The children at Hayward’s will be commemorating the 100th year anniversary of the end of the first World War tomorrow. Mr Baker will be leading a remembrance assembly and there will be a tag rugby match, held at Hayward’s, with Ide school—whose rugby team, including Mr Baker’s great uncle, lost many men during the war. The children in Year 4 and 6, supported by Miss Down and Mr Baker, have made poppies to show our respect. Hopefully you have seen this in our school carpark. The poppies were made by the year 6 children and decorated by the children in year 4.
