Tag Rugby Festival - Sports Games 2018

Today was the much anticipated tag rugby festival at St. Luke's College, Exeter. The weather was beautiful and we have an excellent day. Our Year 3 team had a brilliant first festival, winning 1 game, drawing 3 and losing 4. However, they stuck to the task well, played some fantastic rugby and showed what a bright future tag has at Hayward's. Our Y4 (plus Lucas) team were fantastic too. They won 4 and drew 4, not losing all day and we consistently praised for their sportsmanship and skilful play. This resulted in them being awarded the Bronze Medal in the Spirit of the Games category. Finally, our Year 5 and 6 team won 7 and lost  game, to the eventual winner. Once again Hayward's were praised for their excellent attitude, sportsmanship and sense of fun. This resulted in the children being awarded Overall Spirt of the Festival Gold Medal Winner! An achievement we are very proud of as a school as it represents the ethos of the school.

Thanks to St. Luke's and the young referees who supported the day, making the learning experience fun for all.

The enjoyment throughout the day was evident in the massive smiles throughout and we were so proud of their achievements and attitude. Thank you children for being amazing ambassadors for the school!
